Death cold coffee from the skies!

In case you’re interested, the asteroid TU24 has passed it’s point of closest approach, and we appear to have avoided fiery liquid death. (Although my coffee was a little cold this morning … Gah! Curse you TU24!)

Gasp! One of the primary instigators of this lunacy, TU24dotORG reports on his website that we are still at the highest threat level*.

Although one tends to be a little suspicious of way the phrase “unknown effect” can be retrofitted to apply to just about anything. (My coffee! Curse you TU24!)

Thankfully, once again the indefatigable Phil Plait at Bad Astronomy has the definitive skinny on this momentous non-event.
